In October 1970, 30 year old Constable Doug Anson and 40 year old Sgt. Bob Schrader, were shot and killed, while investigating a domestic dispute. Cst. Anson had eleven years of service and had been married for only two months. The officers were buried with full honours at the RCMP Cemetery at Depot Division Regina.
