Wheat midge tolerant

Short strong straw, great standability

No Compromise, Complete Performance
AAC Walker VB is a high-yielding, awned CWRS wheat variety with midge tolerance, delivering strong agronomic performance across Western Canada. During site-years of testing, it outyielded AAC Brandon by 7% and Carberry by 16%. It offers equal maturity to Carberry, short height and good lodging resistance, along with solid kernel and test weights. AAC Walker VB has shown moderate resistance to Fusarium head blight, with consistent performance across multiple locations and years, and demonstrates strong resistance to leaf, stem, and stripe rusts. Its resistance to wheat midge adds further value, making it a strong addition to FP Genetics’ midge-tolerant lineup.
